NEW Annual Report shows double-digit growth
The Network of Executive Women defied “the great recession” and finished 2009 stronger than ever as membership, sponsor support and regional and national event attendance grew significantly. The number of Network members grew 31 percent to 2,364, attendance at the NEW Leadership Summit grew 36 percent, attendance at regional events grew 29 percent and the number of national sponsors increased from 52 to 58, according to the Network’s recently released 2009 Annual Report. Sponsorship revenue grew 7 percent and total revenue increased 11 percent from 2008 to 2009. More

NEW survey uncovers generational fault lines
Consumer products and retail companies must meet the challenges and leverage the opportunities presented by their multigenerational workforce — or find themselves at a serious competitive disadvantage, according to “Generations at Work: Maximizing Your Diverse Human Capital,” a new report issued by the Network of Executive Women. Employers are facing a potential brain drain as the nation’s oldest workers leave the corporate world and younger employees are uninterested or dissatisfied by the traditional workplace and its culture, career paths and incentives, the report noted. More than 200 hear Matthew Kelly in Chicago
More than 200 executives from the retail and consumer products industry attended the Chicago region’s networking event March 11, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill. The event featured a presentation by Matthew Kelly, an internationally acclaimed speaker and author of The Rhythm of Life: Living Every Day with Passion and Purpose; The Seven Levels of Intimacy and The Dream Manager. The founder and president of Floyd Consulting, Kelly shared his belief that an organization can only become the best version of itself if the people who drive it are striving to become the best version of themselves.
