NEW Leadership Summit will explore ‘the new normal’
The Network of Executive Women will present ways for industry executives and their organizations to leverage today’s new business realities at the NEW Leadership Summit 2010, September 27-29 in Charlotte. More than 700 executives are expected to attend the Summit, which will feature a new format with three SuperSessions and keynote addresses by Lt. Col. Consuela Kickbusch, U.S. Army retired, futurist and author Edie Weiner, and a “generations at work” panel moderated by Fawn Germer. More
Ask your Ambassador for invitation to NEW Forum
Corporate members of the Network of Executive Women are urged to ask their NEW Ambassadors for an invitation to the fourth annual Network of Executive Women Executive Leaders Forum, July 13 to July 15 in Dallas. The invitation-only event is restricted to senior-level leaders and first priority is given to the Network’s national sponsors. Dave Dillon, chairman and CEO of The Kroger Co., and Joe DePinto, president and CEO of 7-Eleven Inc., will address the event. Other headliners include Bill Simon, chief operating officer of Walmart Stores, and Lyn Heward, director of creation for Cirque du Soleil. More
Nominations for Network board open through July 19
The Network is accepting nomination applications for the 2010-2012 term for at-large board members and several officer and committee chair positions. Nominees should be committed to the mission of the Network, be a member in good standing, have demonstrated leadership abilities and influence in the industry and be able to attend two Board meetings per year and conference calls as scheduled. The Board manages the business and affairs of NEW, including amending the bylaws and articles of incorporation, approving the annual budget and setting membership dues. More
Ron Hodge accepts NEW Outstanding Champion award
Ron Hodge, CEO of Delhaize America Operations, accepted the Network of Executive Women’s Outstanding Champion Award at a reception in the company’s honor during FMI 2010 May 11 in Las Vegas. More than 135 food industry executives, including two dozen representatives from Delhaize America, watched Hodge receive the award, which recognizes diversity leadership in the consumer products and retail industry. "I can’t say enough about the importance of NEW,” Hodge said, after receiving the award from NEW President Alison Kenney Paul, a principal at Deloitte. More |
