Three innovators will headline NEW Summit — register now for early-bird savings

A trio of accomplished and innovative business women will keynote this years NEW Leadership Summit October 12-14 in Dallas: Sara Blakely, founder of the fast-growing fashion firm Spanx; Kim Feil, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Walgreens; and Denise Morrison, senior vice president and president of North America Soup, Sauces and Beverages for the Campbell Soup Company. “Each of these women have different stories to tell, but they all underscore our theme, ‘Smart, Fast, Flexible: How to Win in the New Economy,’” said NEW Education Chair Debbie Wildrick, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Equa Water Corporation. NEWonline 2.0 bringing Network members closer

The Network’s new online community is just a few weeks old but hundreds of NEW members are already using the site’s state-of-the-art networking and collaboration tools. The all-new platform launched May 25. “The response to NEWonline 2.0 has been quick and favorable,” said NEW Executive Director Joan Toth. “Once people register they are pretty amazed at what they can do.” The site’s most powerful networking tools – personal and public profiles, messaging, blogging and photo and file sharing – are reserved for the Network’s two-thousand members, Toth noted. Kraft teleconference gives council the big picture

Members of the Women’s Sales Council at Kraft Foods learned how to get involved in NEW and execute best practices for developing women leaders during a nationwide conference call June 12, 2009. More than 250 Kraft sales executives participated in the hour-long discussion, which featured Kraft’s Ambassador to NEW, Regenia Stein, vice president for trade strategy, integrated planning and execution and Martha Johns, Kraft’s Shopper Insights Category Advisor, South, and national chair of Kraft’s Women’s Sales Council (WSC). The call, which included video in some areas, was facilitated by Kraft Category Sales Planner Sara Froning, national conference call director for the WSC. More
