Carolina and Tampa committees roll up their sleeves

More than 35 industry executives and emerging leaders attended the Carolinas regional committee’s organizational meeting June 25 at Food Lion’s Founder’s Hall in Salisbury, N.C. The Carolinas regional Committee scheduled its first major event in January 2009.

The Tampa Regional Committee got together June 12 for their first Volunteer Day at Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. Close to 20 committee members spent the morning at the organization's headquarters helping out in the kitchen, nursery and elsewhere. The group contributed 80 hours of time and donated needed supplies to the charity.
