Outlook Leadership to feature Bradshaw and Bradley

A learning experience
The 2007 NEW Leadership Summit will feature five skill-building breakout sessions to help executives manage their careers and improve their lives.

The Summit, October15-16 in Dallas, is themed “Smart Choices for Peak Performance” and will also feature four keynote speakers and two optional events -- a Retail Safari store tour before the Summit and a “Deep Dive” Career Development workshop after. The event is expected to attract more than 400 of the CPG and retail industry’s leading executives and most promising emerging leaders.

Scheduled breakouts will cover Life Balance Assessment, presented by Dr. Barbara McFarland; Five Pillars of Health by Kristen Cooper and Barbara Simkins; Martial Art of Influence by Stuart Heller; Smarter, Faster, Better by Karlin Sloan; and the Connected and Committed Leader by Laura Lopez. The NEW Summit will also include numerous networking opportunities, including an opening reception and dinner sponsored by PepsiCo, networking breakfast sponsored by the Kellogg Company, and networking breaks sponsored by KPMG.

Four top speakers

The 2007 Summit will feature four powerful keynote speakers: Susan Arnold, president, Global Business Units for Procter & Gamble; Ann Fudge, retired CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands; Fawn Germer, author of the upcoming book The NEW Woman Rules; and women’s issues expert Dr. Barbara McFarland.

This year's Summit will be expanded with an optional Retail Safari store tour on Monday, October 15, presented by WSL Strategic Retail. Space is limited for this event. The store agenda, which is subject to change, features guided tours of Wal-Mart Plano, day spa Whole Foods Refresh, Bath & Body Works and wine store Best Cellars.

Also new for the 2007 Summit is The NEW Boutique, “a fun silent auction featuring great products and services and benefiting the Network’s Scholarship Fund,” the Network announced. NEW urged companies “to show their support for NEW’s scholarship program by donating products and services to the event.”

Deep Dive follows

The Summit will be immediately followed on October 16-17 by a Deep Dive Into Career Self Management workshop led by Sandra Bushby, NEW mentoring chair and director of Women's Initiatives for KPMG. The workshop will extend attendees’ learning experience for the rest of their careers by helping them understand their individual work styles, maximize relationships, increase effectiveness and build strong mentor partnerships.

The optional Deep Dive and Retail Safari programs will be held in conjunction with the NEW Summit at the full-service Omni Mandalay Hotel, 20 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Dallas. A limited number of hotel rooms at the reduced rate of $169 are available first-come, first-served, from the Omni Mandalay (book by Sunday, Sept. 23, by calling 800 843-6664). Discount airfare to Dallas is available through American Airlines (book online at www.AA.com and enter code A44H7AF).
