Northwest Arkansas Chapter to hold first event

More than 150 industry executives are expected to attend the inaugural networking event of the newest chapter of the Network of Executive Women Thursday evening, July 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Northwest Arkansas Chapter’s invitation-only cocktail reception and learning event will be held at the offices of Thompson-Murray, Inc., 605 Lakeview Drive in Springdale, AR 72764.

The evening will include remarks on mentoring by Dr. Stacey Blake-Beard, associate professor of management at the Simmons School of Management in Boston. The former Procter & Gamble and Xerox executive teaches organizational behavior at Simmons and is also affiliated with the school’s Center for Gender in Organizations.

Executives from Wal-Mart, Accenture, Tyson Foods, JB Hunt, Johnson & Johnson, Frito-Lay, and Procter & Gamble formed the Northwest Arkansas chapter of NEW to meet the fast-growing region’s demand for networking and education.

Lois Juliber to address NEW in Boston Oct. 8

Lois D. Juliber, chief operating officer for Colgate Palmolive Company, is the scheduled keynote speaker at NEW’s Fall New England Networking Event Friday, October 8.

NEW members and interested retailer/CPG executives are invited to the luncheon event, which will be held at the Boston Marriott Quincy, 100 Marriott Drive in Quincy. Business or business casual attire is recommended.
