FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SuperValu’s Jeff Noddle will top bill at NEW Summit Diversity organization meets Oct. 20-22 in Minneapolis CHICAGO (Aug. 2, 2008) – Three keynote speakers -- Jeff Noddle, chairman and CEO of SuperValu; Cathleen Benko, vice chairman and chief talent officer of Deloitte; and Amy Curtis-McIntyre, senior vice president of branding for Hyatt Hotels -- will focus on tomorrow’s workforce at this year's NEW Leadership Summit, October 20-22 in Minneapolis. Nearly five hundred industry executives and emerging leaders are expected at the seventh annual Summit. This year’s theme is “The Workforce of the Future – Are You Ready?” Five breakout sessions designed to help executives manage critical workforce issues will be offered at this year’s Summit: “Authentic Living: Rewrite Your Tomorrow,” presented by Mike Jaffe of Jaffe Life Designs; “Change Leadership: Bridging the Gap from Current Reality to Future Vision,” by Donna Rae Smith of Bright Side, Inc.; “Cultural Intelligence and Effective Engagement,” by Denise Andrews and Candi Fetzer of Legacy Unlimited; “Generations at Work: Creating a Competitive Advantage,” by Deb Barrett of Procter & Gamble North America; and “Mature Workers — New Solution to an Age Old Problem,’ presented by Laurel Kennedy of Age Lessons. Attendees will be able to customize their 2008 Summit experience with special optional events, including a first-ever first-timers orientation, a diversity best practices share group and a multicultural/women of color briefing. The Summit opens Monday, October 20 with optional Retail Safari store tours. Participants are scheduled to tour five Twin Cities retailers: ALDI, an innovative low-cost grocery chain; full-service supermarket Cub Foods; IKEA, the global flat-pack home store; upscale grocer Lunds & Byerly’s; hypermarket SuperTarget; and food retailer Trader Joe’s. The opening day will conclude with a reception and dinner featuring a Silent Auction benefiting NEW’s scholarship fund. A Deep Dive Career Self-Management workshop, hosted by Sandra Bushby, director of Women’s Initiatives for KPMG, will offer an intensive daylong learning opportunity October 22.
